Presidents of the United States of America concert

It was a good birthday...

We sat outside and made fun of the first warm-up "band": a very bad male singer with horrible costumes, bad songs, and just...ugh. I've seen better dancing and heard better singing at drunken kareoke contests.

Second band we went into see--they were decent, though I kept thinking of them as "Use" instead of "U.S.E." and I couldn't pay attention to the lead male vocalist/keyboardist as he was wearing a cream colored, orange and green striped blazer that looked like he stole it from the lady from The Brady Bunch. He also flung his head back and forth to the beat while he was singing and it reminded me too much of a Fraggle on speed. They also had two female singers, who (IMO) would have gotten into a messy cat fight, had the stage been any smaller. They kept getting in each other's ways and shouldering each other. >_<; My brother didn't notice, other than the really pretty one was have wardrobe issues--she was continually fixing her bodice.

P.U.S.A. was great! They sound great in concert, did a lot of their best songs while still plugging their new CD--which sounds like it's really good. They were energetic, entertaining, and rocking! During the new CD's main song they released a shower of ballons from the vaulted ceiling (the Paramount is an old theater that has been renovated, but still has the cathedral ceiling and crystal chandeliers, etc.). It was really cool looking.

On the down side, my legs are soooo sore from standing/walking for those hours. I really need to get in shape; it's kinda scary how weak my muscles are at the moment.

Oh, and it's finals week....*@&$(#!!! *Gets back to studying*

finals week, presidents of the united states, birthday
