There's a certain kind of calm when you sit on a parking lot.
Just the right amount of silence. Not deafening. There's occasional movement so you know you are not alone.
But yet, you are alone.
I like hanging out at parking lots to think.
I have sung in parking lots, ate my second lunch for the day hidden from view, kissed someone, waited for New Year's with a pal, took a long nap, and I have cried my heart out alone in one.
I guess you can say that I found my real sanctuary in a parking lot. A temporary space but a haven for my need of solitude.
It is a great place to have a moment of privacy while things start to sink in.
