Spent the past few hours watching the Live8 concerts... I found them kind of underwhelming but that's probably because the channel I was watching kept switching between the different concerts. I did enjoy McCartney, the Scissor Sisters and Robbie Williams from those that I saw, and perved over Jon Bon Jovi.
Yesterday, my cousin and I went to a concert by Abdullah Ibrahim, a famous South African jazz pianist. The concert was held in Ljubljana's open air theatre, and I did get too cold and had to leave early. Ibrahim has a beautifully soft, atmospheric style that I love, but the strange thing was that started playing and didn't stop for even a second for the next hour and fifteen minutes. There was literally no pause between pieces. Now I don't know if this is his norm or what, but as he kept playing at the same continously slowish pace for the whole time with no respite between songs, the audience started to drift off after a while. I loved what he played, but it was really hard to concentrate when the music just went on and on... and on... and on...

Yesterday we also came upon a very interesting photo exhibition that was being held in a park. It was called "Earth from Above", from a photographer presumably spends most of his life in helicopters. There was all kinds of really interesting stuff, from Kuwait and Chernobyl to Australian coral reefs and Chilean sand dunes. I took pics of his pics and uploaded them, check them out.

I uploaded the latest chapter of Across A Wizard's Heart to the Sugar Quill (plug plug) but it's barely getting any reviews :(
