Looking to the future

Had a nice lie-in this morning. There really is nothing better than waking up with the person you love, cuddling closer, and then going back to sleep. Mmmm. Felt so good. I am desperately trying not to think of all the work I will have to do in the upcoming week. It's much nicer to live in the moment and pretend life can go on with this lazy pace forever.

Last night, Justin set me up with the Rosetta Stone program to learn Chinese. I had my first lesson and learned a few basic sentence structure things and other words. It was pretty fun. I felt kind of ridiculous trying to pronounce things. When I read things, I remember them much better than when I just hear them, so I probably still wouldn't be able to remember the pronunciation. But I could recognize phonetically spelled Chinese. Haha.

I'm beginning to look forward to (rather eagerly) studying other things once I become a nurse. I always feel the need to educate myself more and more on different subjects and have been stealthily collecting ideas for this upcoming fall. By that point, I should feel relatively comfortable with my job and be wanting something new. The list so far:

-Do NaNoWriMo
-Write a book about family history from Pop Pop's narration and Mom Mom's interview
-Learn Chinese enough to speak in basic, basic sentences.
-Complete current knitting projects and learn more stitches.
-Cook new recipes and perfect the ones I already have.
-Work on 100 things in 1001 days list that will be up sometime next year.

I'll need to take a break from nursing once I get through this last bit. I can just tell. I'm excited to be able to focus on something new.
