Shoppers' Anonymous

It's official (as if it weren't already). I have a serious shopping addiction. I did really well at saving my money for a while. And then I got kind of depressed from reading The Sparrow, so what did I do to make myself feel better? I went shopping and bought shoes and a (gorgeous!) dress, and then made myself a rich dessert and watched What Not to Wear (there is something deeply satisfying about a makeover). And you know what? I feel better about the world since then. And as I sit here in some fairly new purchases, I know I should feel guilty (and I sort of do) but mostly every time I pass a mirror I just think "Hot damn! Money well spent."

There should be some sort of support group for this.
