Fanfiction Progress: January 2015

Jan 29, 2015 15:23

I haven’t exactly been writing much this month, on account of my wacky work schedule and now thanks to Juno dumping a huge blizzard on us two days ago. Safe to say, January’s been pretty crazy for me. But I’d be lying if I said fanfiction was “entirely” out of my mind…

Most of my muse’s limited brainpower has been focused on a potential valentine-ish story for Kuroshitsuji, as the holiday is quite appropriate for Grell-writers like myself. Thing is, though I love writing about Grell’s endless (and hilarious) quest for looking for love in all the wrong places, picky me doesn’t just want to write some cliché Valentine’s Day chickflicky story, either. Contrary to how I often portray Grell, I do believe there’s more to his character than just incessant guy-chasing, however fun it is to write/read/watch/etc. My goal is to think outside the box, at least a little.

I have finished a very brief draft/drabble of the abovementioned idea, just to get my feet wet, but I’d like to fiddle with it a bit more before finalizing anything. Can’t say for certain if this Valentine’s Day story will indeed be ready in time for the holiday (or this year, at the rate I’m going ^^), but that’s for the future to decide. :)
