I think I found what my writing muse enjoys best: misery. All last week I did my utmost not to think about, well, last week, and in my “not thinking” funk I somehow banged out three fanfiction one-shots (drafts, specifically)! O_O I can’t believe it myself. Is my muse that sadistic?! W.T.F?!
Whatever the case, I’ve got three new one-shot candidates for future publications. Even more surprising is that 2 out of the 3 drafts are for entirely different fandoms of mine. I finally succeeded in finishing a Saiyuki one-shot (previously mentioned as having been unfinished and forgotten for several months). It’s a small Sanzo & Goku ficlet set in the Burial arc. I’ve also got a new Kuroshitsuji story under my belt (so much fun to write, I may add); typical Grell cuteness, is all. ^.^ Last but not least is my latest Supernatural one-shot, which I had also mentioned in passing a while back: very wee!chesters - more wee!Dean and pre-Sammy era. Me and my squee. ^^
Here’s my plan of attack: The Saiyuki story is the most complete thus far, so it’s got the best chance of being published first/soon. Based on the amount of revisions that need to be done to the other two stories, both the Kuroshitsuji and Supernatural one-shots will probably be saved for New Years 2013.
I have also been working on another Xenosaga one-shot, which - for all intents and purposes - is finished (and has been finished for a while). Rubedo/Sakura and Albedo/Rubedo squee. Alas, the revisions have been tricky and I just can’t seem to “get it right,” if you know what I mean. Damn fussiness. Ideally, I’d like to release another Xenosaga one-shot before the year’s end, but that’s a 50/50 right now.
Unfortunately, at this point, I am not planning to publish a new Pokemon story between now and the end of this year. All of my current Pokemon ideas are longer, multi-chaptered, and my current schedule can only handle one-shots at this point. But there’s always hope for 2013.
If all goes well, I’ll conclude 2012 by branching into Saiyuki, and kick off 2013 with Kuroshitsuji - with Supernatural (and hopefully Xenosaga) in between. We’ll see.
