We made it through the annual holiday dinner without incident. My sister and I did not start fights with and/or walk out of the room on my racist great-uncle, there was a minimum amount of yelling in the kitchen, and nothing was burned enough to catch fire. I'm calling that a success.
If you still need a little holiday cheer, or perhaps just some good harmonies, I recommend
Straight No Chaser - The 12 Days of Christmas. They're so good.
You guys would not believe the amount of fic I have been writing lately. It's almost ridiculous. I'm off to North Carolina for a week of continued relative-visiting, but expect a fic dump sometime in the near future when I have internet access. Alas, this does not seem to be bringing me any closer to the end of my "to-write" list.
For the record, exchange fic people, my tel guesses are as follows:
softlyforgotten - his ruins were beautiful
foxxcub - last good thing about this part of town
jocondite - the rift in the lute
adellyna - don't fight it
We'll see soon how many of those I got dreadfully wrong. *g*
Now be honest with me: If I wrote a SeaQuest DSV/bandom crossover, with Brendon playing music for dolphins and Spencer as the navigational officer who always knows exactly when and where they are and Frank cooking for the crew and Ryan being the non-communicative communications officer and Bob as the security chief and William being erratically psychic and Maja fixing mysterious engineering things and Gerard coming on board for assignment as a squid specialist and all of FOB living on a secret underwater island, how many of you would actually read it?
