I'm going to be away for the holidays and sneaking online infrequently, so here, have some recs before I go.
Spatial Model, by disarm_d - Spencer/Brendon. This is absolutely gorgeous, full of detail and emotion, all hidden beneath the actual words. It has a very hypothetical feel to it, like moving through a dream, and reads like poetry. Stunning.
Life on the Fashion Scene, by idyll - Bandom/Project Runway crossover. I've never seen the show, so for everyone else who hasn't, you don't need to know it to enjoy this. It's a total riot, with hilarious characters and a truly entertaining story.
unequivocal, by stereomer - Frank/Gerard. I just reread this, and was shocked to find that I'd never officially recced it before; probably because I had been new in bandom and not reccing anything at the time. Everyone has probably already read this, but if you haven't? If you have even the tiniest inkling of interest in MCR and want to read a story about them? This is the one. Everyone's voices are so perfect, and it feels like life should, with all of the highs and lows and mistakes and triumphs. There's not another fic like it, in my mind, that even comes close to this. It's amazing.
(So here's the thing. People participating in that challenge I'm also participating in? If you don't know already which one(s) I've written, and if you would like to guess at something, I always offer cookies to anyone who gets it right. I have guesses on three people so far, but that's it, because unfortunately I know an awful lot of the ones written by y'all. Guessing is my favourite part of every challenge ever, so jump in! Make my day! I'll screen guessing comments, in case people are shy. And if you want to guess other people's, I would love to hear opinions!)
