Day 1 of Summer Training: The First Fall

Apr 13, 2014 17:35

Today, Jeff and I started our training for the big summer backpacking trip. We want to do Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley in late June or early July.

So, we went for a run!

Towards the end of the route, I tripped on the pavement, skinning both knees and my chin. Owww!!

I was trying to run around a man and his dog. In order to do that, I had to run off the sidewalk onto the road. The sidewalk was too narrow, plus there was a pole bisecting it, making it even smaller. On my way up from the road to the sidewalk, I tripped.

I am sore. Luckily, I think my pride is more wounded than my body. Still, chin is sore. I think I'll get a bruise! My knees are sore too. I skinned a pretty large area, and I am starting to feel the tightness that comes after one skins their knees. Hopefully tomorrow will be pain-free!

On the plus side, we ran for most of the way.
