Today, I had the pleasure of attending the LA Master Chorale's annual holiday concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA. Though I have been inside the Hall before, I'd never seen a concert there. I had a great time. Reminded me of high school. :) The acoustics were fantastic! There was no amplification on the choir. The Hall's massive 6,000 pipe organ was played, much to my delight. I went with a good friend of mine who I'll actually be working with at one of my new jobs. Her brother is in the Chorale.
Overall, an extremely fun afternoon. I love many, many things about this time of year. Singing and listening to holiday songs is one of them! Another favorite activity is to watch claymation or stop-motion animation Christmas specials. If you're a fan of those to, check out the latest episode of Community. It was an homage to my childhood. I can't wait to watch Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, with the singing snowman, Will Vinton's Claymation Christmas Special, and any other similar movies I can find.
