Spring break
My dad periodically gets to go on really cool trips for his job. He recently started doing consulting work, expanding his normal range of travels from Europe to include Asia! He went to Hong Kong and Shenzhen in August. At the end of March, he is going to Shanghai for a week. For once, I actually get to go with him!!!! I've been dying to tag along on one of these trips for YEARS; I just never had my passport. He booked our flight yesterday. We leave March 23rd and get back March 30th (Sunday to Sunday). Eee!!!! This means that I can say I went to three different continents in one year!
I took Jeff to Disneyland and California Adventure over the weekend. It was his first time! He has all the pictures. When I get them, I will post one of the two of us on Main Street. It rained on Saturday, but it was not too bad. I was expecting worse, honestly! Sunday was lovely. Jeff was not a huge fan of the "let's sit on a car and stare at the moving animatronics" rides. However, he is now a HUGE fan for Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters! Here is a picture of us the first time (turns out I have one picture of us): I beat him!! We went on that ride five or six times lol. My highest score was 154,000. His highest was 197,000, I think. I went on the MaliBomber (is that the name?) ride at California Adventure for the first time! Though I love Tower of Terror, I generally steer clear from rides that are open and drop you from high places. Too scary! This one shoots you up first, so it was not so bad. It has a good view of the parks and the surronding area.
