In the darkest hour...

Vegas was so much fun!! There aren't many pictures (I think there's some of the Hoover Dam and that's about it), but you've all probably see those sights anyways. :) I saw Spamalot at the Wynn. It was hilarious and made me very happy. I gambled a bit. We didn't really win... ever lol. But that's okay! Jeff taught me blackjack (which I sortof already knew) and craps (zero experience with this one). Free drinks are nice. The food at the Sahara stinks. It's absolutely terrible. We ate dinner once at the MGM Grand. It was a Mexican restaurant called Diego. It turned out to be pricier than our hotel provided Vegas magazine said, but it was so tasty I didn't mind. However, I had a dirty martini beforehand. I'm a bit of a lightweight haha, so when I started drinking my raspberry/boysenberry margarita at Diego, I was basically drunk. *facepalm* Definitely an interesting experience!

Sadly, we did not see fireworks. It was so hot that we gave up. The day after we left, there was a shooting at New York New York. o.O We almost went there on Thursday for a late breakfast/lunch, but decided on Hard Rock instead. I got grilled cheese and a milkshake. It's my restaurant staple if I can't decide what to order.

Jeff left Monday morning. I cried. A lot. ~_~ I didn't use to be this weepy! I felt bad getting randomly emotional the night before too. Plus, my eyes got all puffy, I was red eyed and just looked not pretty. Definitely not the last image I want Jeff to see! Oh well lol. I'm not going to see him till December. :( Thank God for Monty Python or I would have continued crying when I got home from the airport.

I'm seeing HPott 5 tonight!! I'll be at the Irvine Spectrum, but not IMAX. So, those that are going, call me when you get there! I'm thinking I'll be there around 8 or 9pm. I thought all the Spectrum shows were sold out, so this is awesome!

I leave for Ghana in two weeks!! Ahhh!!!!! I move out of my apartment this Saturday. I've been there for two years. :(( After I move out and help friends move into their new place, I'll most likely be in San Diego till I leave. My mom got me a Ghana guidebook as well as a Ghana cookbook last Christmas, and I have been reading the guidebook lately. I'm very excited, but scared. Last night, I made fish stew, which was out of my Ghana cookbook. It was so tasty! The ingredients were basic, and the actual cooking was a breeze. I had the leftovers for lunch today. Mmm!!
