For years being an Arashian, there are countless times I've cried over merch releases, but now I'm grateful to be able to support them in small ways now that I earn enough to collect some of their past stuff (*/ω\*)
Aside from my goal of completing Arashi's album discography (still far nowhere in completion), what took my interest lately of Arashi merch is their pamphlets and photobooks. I'm not a big fan of print media before, but seeing how great the quality of photos Johnny's can produce, at the same time those serves as a memento of Arashi behind-the-scenes I would love to look at from time to time.
@janizutenshi
@J Store (Popcorn & Japonism)
First of all are these sets of pamphlets from local PH seller: @/janizutenshi and @J Store (Popcorn & Japonism)
(Follow them on their socials, they provide affordable Arashi and other Johnny's stuff) The items might be second hand, but they're cheaper and still in great condition so rest assured ✨)
I really love how the "concept" of each album materialize into how they come up with songs (including singles) to an album, the music video, and especially the visuals, stage design, and set list for each of Arashi's tours. For me, Arashi's concerts are literally one of the masterpieces and most magnificent tours I've ever seen (not witnessed, haven't been on an actual one 🤧) all props to the brilliant mind behind that is Matsumoto Jun (ult ichiban 💜) So for me, visualizing how the outcome of each tour came to life is already satisfying in a sense. Though I'm afraid I cannot show the pictures inside, my phone cannot give justice to it 😓
Along with these pamphlets came the 5x20 pouch which I can really use for travel and Nino untitled lanyard, AYH Tour RE DVD, and LOVE LE version though I haven't tried playing the CDs 😅
This was the update entry of the other haul from these shops 😆💸
- @Janizu Tenshi
So this included the Arafes 2020 bag that I've wanted for so long, additional pamphlets and albums as well~
- @Sinnamon Shop
The Arashigoto book and SNSD tourbook (brings back nostalgic feels now that they've also released their 7th album 🥺) Also an Aiba shop pic as freebie! 💚
- @9-Colored Rainbow
Additional Arashi albums, plus Popcorn merch accessories as freebies yayyy~
Arashi at 5 Domes 2009-2019 Photobook
Second on the list is the FC Limited exclusive 5 Domes photobook 🎉✨
Thanks to Amazon Japan I'm able to score this one on a lower price given that I'm not an FC member and this was released in 2020, and is considered a rare item already, roughly around five thousand pesos or more (in PH currency).
This feels like nostalgia looking at memory lane of Arashi's tours over the last ten years. It's housed in a silver case (in my case I didn't remove the packaging, only opened it at the portion where I can get the books individually) and contains roughly 30 pages of tour pictures each book (in ultra mega HD quality ✨) that you would definitely enjoy looking at each members' solo as well as group/duo pics, and photos of the goods in each tour as well as backstage and rehearsals exclusive photos (some were also funny shots) from 5x10 up until to the anniversary and most number of shows to date, 5x20.
I still have merch (pamphlets still) coming around this month, so I may edit this entry once they arrive. THEY ARRIVED LAST MONTH lol I just forgot to update on time
Meanwhile, you can follow these shops if you are interested in buying or collecting your Arashi or Johnny's wishlists! You can find them either on FB & Twitter😊 (I think they're exclusively for PH Janizu fans but you can still inquire if they ship worldwide)
