Ok so it is Boxing Day for the rest of Canada but in Nova Scotia we are still closed. One thing you have to understand about Nova Scotia is that the motto here is, why stay open? Now lets say it is snowing and it is 3:30 a store will close cause it is a slow day. So the poor guy, usually me, who battles the snow to make it there before 5:00 is let down. Now in British Columbia I am used to my stores being open till 9:00 every day! None of this 3:30 Bull Shit! So being Boxing Day nothing is open until tomorrow. Now Christmas was interesting. I invited like six people over for brunch, and no one came. But the good thing that did happen was Billy surprised me by coming home for the day. His mother had to work, there for he drove into the city with her then took the car and came and spent the day with me. But he was equally surprised when he opened the bedroom door to discover I wasn’t in bed and the bedroom had a new look. I had a feeling he was going to come in the city so I made sure my surprise was ready. With 400-thread count sheets and duvet cover, a new lamp, and some new accessories such as plants and candle stick holders. A much-improved look over the worn out well used sheets we had before. I also got him some other things I wrapped up under the tree. I cant tell you what they are cause he never opened them we agreed we would have our own Christmas once he was back in town. But lets put it this way. I spoiled him. Just like I did for his birthday! He has high standards to live up to for his gift giving! Now as for Christmas dinner a mutual friend, Justin, invited a bunch of us to his place for a big dinner! But the issue being that he lives in Turo a town about 50 minutes out of the city. Now my friend Tonay who has also been invited to the diner for this that and the other reason is not going tonight there for I cannot go! So I am hopping that it gets moved to Wednesday because I really want a Christmas dinner! Now on Christmas Day Billy and I went for a walk through Halifax’s Point Pleasant Park, basically Halifax’s version of Beacon Hill or Stanley Park. It was good to get out for a nice Christmas walk. So Billy may drive me crazy at times and I may push all his buttons but in the end I love that kid! Merry Christmas To everyone back home I miss you guys so much! Hope to hear from you!
