...is impossible. The way you make money in this game is ridiculous. So, here's how it works: In other Final Fantasy games, as soon your battle is over you earn a certain amount of experience and money. In FFXII, though, when you kill an enemy, they will drop "loot." You then have to pick up the loot and take it to a nearby village and sell it the vendors there. Certain types of loot are worth different amounts of money. So, you could go around killing hundreds of wolves, but they will only drop sucky loot and thus you don't even make any money off of them. OR there's a chance that the enemies don't even drop loot at all and you're out of luck. What's the deal with that?! The worst part about it is that you don't even know how much your loot is worth until you sell it - unless you keep track of how much each individual piece of loot is worth and then keep a tally on a spare piece of paper next to you and use a calculator to find out how much it is worth. There are hundreds of different types of loot, though, so that method would take forever.
I hate this because if I'm trying to save up for a certain set of armor or magic for all my characters, I go around fighting for like a half hour and then HOPE that the enemies dropped enough loot for me to sell so I can get everything that I need. Sometimes, I'll go back to town and sell everything I got and not even be close because the enemies only had dropped crappy stuff. Stupid. The game should keep track of how much your loot is worth so you KNOW you have enough to go back to town and get everything you need!
