So, crazy stuff in NYC this past week, eh? I'm so glad no one was hurt and I hope they nab the crazy guy before he flees the country. If he even thinks to do that.
So, reading a really depressing new fanfic called 'Where the grass grows green'. Excuse me while I remember why I don't like the Silmarillion. The Valar are such useless arses!

Dialect Questions
1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks
Uhm, stream or creek, though I think the former is more prevalent.
2. What the thing you push around the grocery store is called
It's a cart.
3. A metal container to carry a meal in:
Lunch box.
4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in
A frying pan.
5. The piece of furniture that seats three people
A couch.
6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof
The gutter! Or drain-thingy, when I forget what it's called.
7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening
Porch. Rarely use the word deck, doesn't matter how large the porch is.
8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages
Soda! Pop = no go.
9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup
Pancakes!

A sub or sub sandwich. The store is called Subway after all.

Swim trunks or swim shorts or swim suit.
