who the fuck is in control of this universe!?!? that sums most of it up, but i do wish to elaborate on that after one thought that should have been posted yesterday:
i'm glad that martin luther king day things are shut down, not many holidays get that except xmas and easter, but really, i think that mlkj would be really disappointed if the holiday that is in his rememberence was a big mall sale, like presidents day......and with that said, should i feel guilty if i happened to go to the mall that day? i wasn't looking for a sale, nor did i even buy anything, so its not like i really was there- thats such bad reasoning and i know it too....
also, thanks to, well, thanks to my incredible dumbness, i am now known as the "little catholic girl who couldn't" in my anthropology class, but i did get to arm wrestle the teacher (who is pretty much santa claus on acid) and win. unfortunatly for me, he happened to be the polynesian ruler maui and after winning, i was struck with a spear and killed....but back to the catholicism thing....i honestly just assumed that pretty much everyone knew, as did i, the story of jesus and all those stupid little things they teach you in chatochism- turns out i was wrong (and that's not to say that i believed everyone was catholic up until this point, rather that i was force-fed this stuff when i was too young to even think that others weren't having the same joyful tuesday or wednesday nights as me from what- 1st grade to 9th grade)... anyways, the teacher decides to ask who in the class is a decently good catholic. so i'm like well that doesn't apply to me, so i'll just look around the room and see what poor suckers are caught up in that bear trap. NO ONE. not satisfied with this result, he sinks a step lower and says " how many of you were RAISED to be a decently good catholic" and, no joke, i tried to fight my arm, i told it not to bolt up in the air, but something made me raise it just high enough to be considered, but figured i would be among half the class.......oh no, poor, sad, lonely me....... the only one. and the questions start coming...and they dont stop. and i dont think they will. however, the class really does seem interesting b/c i like all those anthropology and philosophy type classes, so i guess that's the benefit of it all.
other than that, new things come out left and right, every day and further developments will be made at a later date, but january ain't no fool, and it's showin' all these other months what's up and setting (some kind of ) standard for 2006
also this kid that sat by me in my class today randomly pulled out a can of pineapple and a can opener, opened it and started eating away. i was so tempted to ask for a bite but thought the creep factor would start to escalate just a tad
oh and we are scientists are pretty much sweet
