what i learned this holiday season, in a nutshell:
* my mom confuses me sometimes for my 3 year old niece, and buys christmas presents accordingly
** sticker (not stick-on) nails surprisingly don't look anything at all like real nails, and they barely look like fake nails
* my aunt used to smoke pot. not only that, she grew it too. not only that, my mom knew she grew it but seriously believed her that it was for her friends.
** my mom is incredibly dense sometimes (see above)
* my dad celebrates festivus at work (festivus is a made up holiday, however, unlike pinching day, it was not invented by my father, but someone who worked at the readers digest. it was made famous by seinfeld)
* my dad also thought i was pregnant when we were in florida in may b/c i was sick. thats why i got yelled at so much on that trip.
* amazon.com is addicting, right up there with ebay, and i did happen to save a bunch of money on my books for my classes, so thats good. i also bought an ipod, far too many books, and i see my cd collection broadening vastly in the recent future.
* going to a party on new year's eve- good idea. going to a party on new years eve where you might get 5 words spoken to you from about 5 people (your boyfriend included), is, however, not so much of a great idea. and boyfriends, if you say about 5 words to your girlfriend at a new years eve party, dont expect a kiss at midnight. in fact, if you don't get a kiss at midnight, its probably a good time to leave.
* the producers is really good and you should go see it- just remember that the end of the producers is like the grand finale of fireworks- theres singing throughout the entire movie, but at the end, there's a lot more
* stephanie wants to marry me- seriuosly, like go to vegas and stuff, but not in a serious way. only to say it happened. and it wouldn't be a credible marriage in michigan anyways, so then we could go and marry other people for real.
* i can't say no. no matter what. thats why i somehow am having 4 giant boxes of body shop stuff (which is actually kinda exciting) shipped to my house. the downside- i have to sell it.
