This set wasn't going to happen. I was determined to complete the icons in order, and managed to get stuck on stock - until I was browsing for textures for the inspired20in20 set and found the perfect "stock" texture. Then again, with Down the Rabbit Hole, until a texture made itself known and an idea formed. The moral of these rambles, finding the perfect texture will fix all icon woes. I ended up having a lot of fun with these (minus the obscure crops, but for someone who clings to the basic center crop - I tried?) and am pretty pleased with the fact I finished - because for 10 days I basically went, "Nup. Not going to happen."... but it did *cheers self*... and now I will stop rambling.
THIS THEME! Amazing. Inspiring. Fantastic for flexing some composition skills and for allowing the crazy to take hold as well as getting a little oddly creative. I definitely took the general theme literally, and played with the concept of genre and, well, for one set the technical side of genre; the others are just my mad attempt at manipulation of screencaps as I refused to play the movie straight as a simple fairytale. The result was me tearing my hair out as I began and scrapped too many sceencaps under too many different genres, but also so much damn fun being had making these.
