Kame wakes up one day and makes a shocking discovery... in his bed.

a/n. This was written as a birthday present for queen_kat_tun . It will have three (or four) parts, all of them kinda short. I apologize for the lame title.

Surprise, Surprise 2/4

“I can't believe you fainted,” Jin stared at the younger man with wide eyes after Kame finally woke up with a start on the sofa where Jin had placed him.

“Wh-why are you still here?” Kame asked slowly, confusion written all over his face.

Jin tilted his head, frowning. “What do you mean?”

“I had a weird dream and... and you shouldn't be here when I wake up,” Kame explained, bringing his hand to his eyes, hoping with all his heart that Jin's figure would disappear if he managed to rub them forcefully enough. That was not the case, however, and Kame stared back at Jin with obvious discomfort. “You must be a dream,” he stated again and Jin's facial expression suddenly turned from concerned to proud.

“So I've been told.”

Trying to ignore the 'witty' remark, Kame let his head fall into his palms. “I've got a headache.”

“Again?”

Kame looked up, frowning. “What do you mean 'again'?”

“In the past few days you often said you had a headache,” Jin answered, biting his lips.

“Really?” Kame rolled up his eyes, trying to think.

Memory loss, headache... getting married to Jin. All the symptoms of a developed brain tumor. Maybe he is terminally ill. There is no other explanation to all this. For the memory loss, maybe. For the headache, maybe. But getting married to Akanishi Jin??? He must be really sick.

Kame groaned, earning a curious look from the older man then looked at his finger again and his eyes widened.

“It's not a dream,” he whispered as he was staring at the golden ring in shock.

Jin pursed his lips, clueless about what he should say. “I guess it's not.”

“Shit, I have to take this off,” Kame cried out, panic evident in his voice as he kept staring at the object with disgust. He felt like suffocating, the ring felt tight and uncomfortable, not to mention the pure fact that it symbolized his commitment to a person whom he never intended to belong to. “Fuck this,” he screamed as he was trying to pull the ring off his finger, but he was not that lucky this time. Better to say, luck was not on his side for a week now.

“Wait.”

Kame looked up at Jin, surprised by the tone of the other man's voice. He sounded... scared.

“What?”

“Why do you want to take it off?”

Kame glared back. “What do you mean 'why'? I didn't want this ring in the first place.”

“You didn't?” Jin asked, confused. “But it was your idea.”

“Wh.. what?” Kame's hands stopped pulling the ring and leaving red marks on his abused finger then his lips curled into a mocking smile. “This is a very sick joke, Jin. I didn't... I couldn't want this...” he pushed his wedding ring into the other's face angrily, shaking it in the air.

“It's you who is joking, right?” Jin snapped and that made Kame shut up. He looked angry and Kame looked bewildered. “You came to me, you told me... those things and you asked me to get married and now...”

Kame blinked at the other as Jin jumped up from the sofa, pacing in the living room with huge steps.

“I don't remember any of this, Jin,” Kame stated and Jin spun around and widened his eyes.

“You mean... you really don't...”

“I don't remember, Jin,” the younger one repeated an octave higher than before as a sign of anger and helplessness rising in him. “How the hell could we get married anyway?”

Jin dropped his jaw at the question, wondering if he should ask Kame back 'how the hell could anyone forget...'

“Vegas,” it came out as a whisper and because Kame didn't react in any ways, he repeated a little louder this time. “Las Vegas.”

Kame seemed to be frozen, or rather the opposite; melted into the sofa, then Jin saw him visibly gulp before he emerged from his spot, mouth open as if he wanted to say something but he must have changed his mind because he almost immediately lowered himself, sitting back.

“Kame.”

Nothing.

“Kame!”

No reaction. Jin frowned and waved his hand in front of the younger man's eyes, hoping to bring him back to reality. “KAME!”

Kame shuddered and raised his wide eyes to Jin's face then blinked. “I think I'm going to faint again.”

Jin frowned in obvious concern and automatically reached out to touch the other's face but Kame just as instinctively flinched and pulled away. He could barely catch Jin's surprised face and the discontent tug on his lips as he watched Kame move away.

“Err...” Jin turned away and cleared his throat, hoping to help the situation somehow. “Let's eat something, you will feel better. I'll go make you something, okay?”

Kame looked up as Jin moved and he couldn't understand what has gotten into him but the feeling he had when he heard Jin was the most unexpected one. Guilt. He was feeling guilty. Not that it was his fault but he had to admit it wasn't Jin's either.

“Wait.”

Jin turned around curiously when he felt his wrist being grabbed.

“Jin... I need to know what happened. Please, tell me everything,” Kame asked quietly, only when he finished did he dare look up at Jin.

The older man smiled weakly. “Okay. But let's eat something first. Then I'll tell you everything you want to know.”

-

“Thanks,” Kame said, placing his chopsticks next to his empty plate. “It was... surprisingly good.”

“You're welcome,” Jin beamed, a genuine smile plastered on his face, which Kame found quite contagous as he struggled not to smile back.

“So... please talk about the last few days, Jin,” Kame changed the topic and Jin changed his expression, his smile faded and he rolled his eyes at recognizing the official tone in the other's voice. He felt like being at an interview. One thing was sure; he knew that voice way too well and in the last week Kame spoke to him quite differently which pleased Jin much more than the perfectly-answering, perfectly-gesturing and perfectly-perfect Kamenashi Kazuya aka the K of KAT-TUN.

“Okay, but promise me you let me speak. Just listen.”

Kame raised an eyebrow, hesitating to take the deal but then just nodded.

“Okay. So you visited me Tuesday morning.”

“I visited you?” Kame asked, confused. The idea seemed more than impossible.

“Kame,” the older man whined. “You promised me.”

“Sorry, go on.”

“It was a bit strange, I admit,” Jin remembered then a huge grin spread on his face. “But I can't say I didn't like it.”

“Kame,” Jin stated blankly as he glanced the younger man on his doorstep. “Wow, it's rare to see you here.” His words met only a gentle smile from the other and Jin stepped back, gesturing. “Come in.”

“That was exactly what I had in mind,” Kame smiled wider, his tone strange; lower and huskier and Jin got goosebumps from it.

As the door closed behind Kame, Jin turned around. “What are you...”

The question remained unfinished as Jin was pushed to the door rather violently and Kame was suddenly all over him, his body pressed to his and his breath tickling the shell of his ear.

“I missed you.”

It was uttered firmly and lowly with so much passion in those little three words that Jin could feel his lower part react immediately. “Did... did you?”

“Very much,” Kame whispered before licking his earlobe, his palms placed on the other's chest, drawing circles on the older man's shirt teasingly. “How come you didn't even call me after you returned from LA? I was hoping you would.”

Jin needed a few other seconds to absorb the situation. Kame on him, pressed to him, whispering to him, licking his ear... holy shit, Kame just licked his ear! What on the earth is going on?

“K-K-Kame,” Jin didn't want to believe that he was the one who whimpered so pitifully while pressing his hands on the door in the attempt not to touch the warm body so close to him.

“Kame, Kame, Kame, Kame,” Jin raised his voice as he plucked up his courage to touch the other only to pull him away by the arm, putting some distance between them. “What are you doing?”

All he got was a blazed glance and a soft chuckle from the younger idol. “Stupid question. Isn't it obvious?”

Jin could only gasp and gape when his shirt was ripped off him with one forceful movement, leaving it open and he was standing almost half-naked, while Kame started to unbutton his own shirt, slipping it off and leaving it discarded on the floor.

“I'm seducing you,” he blinked innocently before the smirk returned to his face and grabbed Jin's collar to pull him close and finally pulling the piece of clothing down his arms, hungrily taking in the sight before he launched himself at the taller man and attacked his neck. “I want you.”

Jin could feel his mind travel far away from reality as he felt Kame's lips on his neck, sliding downwards, licking and sucking, warm and arousing. Kame continued his teasing actions, roughly and passionately, moaning lowly into the other's skin then pulled away and looked at Jin with misty eyes, panting.

“Do you...” he placed his hand on Jin's belt, “want me...” he tugged on the belt violently, emphasizing each word with a forceful movement.” “...Jin?” he finished, opening the other's jeans successfully.

Jin bit back a moan, he didn't know how he managed though, and his hands reached for the other, pulling him closer by his nape. “Hell yeah,” he panted, his breath mingling with the other's, their lips only an inch away.

Kame smiled and licked his lips in the most sensual way Jin could ever imagine. “Then take me.”

“NO FREAKING WAY I SAID THAT!!!”

“But you did.”

“Did not!”

“Did too!”

“Did not! Don't lie Jin!” Kame pointed at the older man accusingly, his tone warning.

“I didn't lie,” Jin started then his voice trailed off. “Just colored the story a bit?”

“JIN!!”

Jin sighed and a pout adorned his face. “Okay, sorry, sorry. But you won't like the other version too much.”

Kame blinked and wondered where Jin got the idea from that he liked this version even a little bit. With a wave, he dismissed the idea of kicking Jin in the shin and just sighed. “Just tell me what really happened, okay?”

Though a bit reluctantly, Jin finally agreed. “Okay.”

“Kame,” Jin stated blankly as he glanced the younger man on his doorstep. “Wow, it's rare to see you here.”

“You asshole,” Kame greeted him, there was no trace of a smile on his face; he looked rather angry.

“Err... excuse me?”

Kame rolled his eyes. “Am I disturbing?”

Confused, Jin blinked then stepped away. “Err.. no. Come in.”

Kame heaved a sigh and entered, looking around in the once-familiar apartment. “You should have called me when you returned, don't you think? Or at least Nakamaru, or something. Don't you think we'd deserve a fucking phone call?”

Jin looked taken aback by the anger that was directed at him. Kame didn't look at him, his back turned to Jin but the older man could clearly picture the other's expression and he didn't know what to say.

Turning around, Kame sighed, his eyes were dark, his hands clenched into fists. “You behave like we don't have anything to do with each other anymore. Selfish prick.”

Jin snapped out of the shock by the tone Kame's voice was carrying. “Maybe I should have called you. But it's not like we're that close. Why are you so mad anyway?” he retorted. Why is Kame blaming him for something which was not only his fault?

Kame's face changed at hearing the question. Looking away, he chuckled weakly and angrily. “Don't know. I missed you I guess?”

Then he just stood there, with his head hung low, desperately trying to pull himself together after the honest words, he had never wanted to say out loud, left his lips. His anger was forgotten.

Jin could feel his heart softening. Somewhere behind the image Kame was so persistent to show, he could see his friend now, who he had lost a long ago. It hurt him, too, not only Kame.

Hesitantly, Jin stepped forward and awkwardly tugged a lock of Kame's hair behind his ear. “I missed you, too.”

It was weird how natural it felt to say it. Jin didn't even notice how true it was until he said it out loud.

Kame kept looking down, motionless. “Don't lie.”

“I'm not lying,” Jin answered immediately. “I'm not,” he added firmly as he took another lock between his fingers, soothing it.

“I've been thinking,” Kame murmured. He showed no sign of feeling uncomfortable with what Jin was doing so Jin didn't think of stopping it. It felt strangely good to both of them.

“Hm?” Jin hummed absent-mindedly.

“What are you doing today?”

Jin dropped his hands as Kame looked up, his expression soft and hopeful.

“Nothing,” he answered, wondering what Kame had on his mind.

“Then why aren't we going out? Spend some time together?”

It was more than surprising to Jin; the unexpected visit, the sight of Kame standing in the middle of his living room, saying things that Jin was sure he wouldn't hear anymore; it all was shocking, strange. It was creepy.

But Jin couldn't deny that the emotions that washed through his entire being at feeling those warm brown eyes on him was good. He was sure that those eyes would no longer look at him that way. And now Kame's look was the same as before. It felt good.

They spent the day together; Jin didn't ask Kame if he had work to do or when he wanted to go home. He was scared if he did, Kame would glance at his watch, slap his forehead and just as quickly as he came, would go away. Walk out of his life, again.

They had fun; so much fun that Jin felt his stomach burn since they had laughed so much. Kame insisted on taking a walk, feeding the ducks in the little pound in the park, eating ice-cream as they slowly walked back to Jin's apartment.

And they talked. About work, about friends, about future, about them. Jin tilted his head as he listened to Kame's endearing voice, as he watched the smile that reached Kame's eyes, the gesturing hands, the brown locks as they fell into his face every now and then. He found himself smiling when Kame laughed whole-heartedly at the stories he told the younger man. Just like before. Everything was like before. No awkwardness, no unnecessary politeness, no well-practiced phrases. Just them.

When the night fell down, they started to walk back to Jin's apartment and Kame still showed no intention to leave. Not that Jin minded, so he waved to the younger man to get in when he opened the door and Kame stepped in, slipping out of his shoes so naturally that it was simply amusing.

Jin offered some possibilities to continue the evening and Kame decided on a movie then curled himself on Jin's sofa, pulling his legs to his chest. When Jin sat down next to him, Kame's head almost immediately fell on the other's shoulder as he leaned on him.

Jin tensed for a moment but then only tried to remain still and not to move a muscle. He wouldn't even breathe if that was possible. He didn't want to mess this up.

“I like being with you,” came Kame's low voice form somewhere near his collarbone. Jin could feel hot puffs of air tickling his chest.

“Me too,” Jin blurted out a bit nervously but with honesty.

Kame lifted his head up and stared into his eyes. “Really?”

Jin looked at him, mesmerized and managed a whisper. “Yes.”

A gentle smile adorned Kame's face as he pulled away and just when Jin wanted to protest, he felt Kame's hand on his belly and a leg over his as Kame climbed into his lap, straddling his hips.

Jin suddenly forgot to take a breath and that left him nearly chocking. Then the next thing Kame did reminded him of pushing the air out of his lungs and inhale because his crotch was palmed gently but with force, fingers caressing his thighs warmly.

“K-Kame..”

Jin had to close his eyes at the feeling so he missed when Kame got so close that the next breath he took filled his nose with Kame's characteristic and very much arousing scent.

“I like you,” he heard Kame whisper and a hand gripped his hair as Kame brushed his lips to his earlobe.

“I-I like you too,” Jin breathed, finally raising a hand to let it rest on the younger man's hips which were slowly moving against his own. Jin wondered when he had started panting.

Leaving his fingers buried in Jin's hair, Kame pulled away a bit and looked into the other's eyes. Jin could see the lust, the longing, the warmth. He saw something which he could never imagine to see in Kame's eyes.

The next words that left Kame's parted lips were not less surprising. “I want to marry you.”

Jin took a break from panting as his mind cleared in an instant, staring at the younger man in trance. “Wh-what?”

“I want to marry you, Jin,” Kame repeated and trailed his fingers on Jin's face gently.

Jin wanted to laugh, really, because it could be a very weird joke but Kame's expression was so serious that he widened his eyes instead, his fingers clenching Kame's hips harder.

“Why?” he asked. He couldn't think of a better question. Not now.

Kame's lips curled into a smile just before he parted them, fingers still caressing Jin's cheeks as he answered..

“Jin.” Kame said quietly but got no response. “Jin, what did I answer?”

The older man stared at his ring with a distant expression, lost in his thoughts.

“Jin!”

Like waking up from a dream, Jin looked up, a bit dazed. “Huh?”

Kame frowned. “What did I answer to your question?”

Jin's face changed expression, it seemed a bit flushed. “I.. I don't remember.”

Kame stood up and placed a hand on his hips, looking like a homeroom teacher. It reminded Jin of Yankumi.

“Jin. No lies, remember?”

With a gulp, Jin laughed nervously. “I'm not lying. I don't remember and it's not that important. So you bought two tickets to the next flight and the next morning we went to Vegas then...”

“Why, Jin?” Kame asked quietly, his voice full of confusion. “Why did you agree?”

That was the question that Jin had long expected but couldn't answer. Or didn't want to. He tried to think of a way to avoid the honest reply and come up with something which was not a lie either.

“I think I was fine with it. It was fun.”

“Fun?” Kame emerged from his seat. “FUN? GETTING MARRIED SHOULDN'T BE FUN! IT SHOULDN'T BE FOR FUN!” he yelled with wide eyes, pulling on his hair.

Jin held his breath and decided to change tactics. So he jumped up and did his best to manage a glare. “EXACTLY!!! IT WOULD BE MORE INTERESTING TO FIND OUT WHY THE HELL YOU ASKED ME!”

Kame's jaw dropped. “But I told you I can't remem-”

“I KNOW I KNOW” Jin shot his hands up in the air in a helpless gesture. “I know. But I want answers just as much as you do.”

Kame sighed and slumped down on the sofa, massaging his temples. Jin stopped fuming as he watched him, shooting him worried glances. “Does it hurt?”

“Yeah, a bit.”

Jin stepped closer and kneeled down, raising his hand to Kame's head. The younger man made a surprised yelp when Jin's fingers pulled his hands away and started to massage the aching spot.

He wanted to ask Jin to stop but he thought he should wait for a little bit because the massage didn't feel so bad after all.

"I gave you massages during the last few days so I know what I'm doing," Jin reassured him.

Eventually, Kame relaxed and let himself enjoy the perfect way Jin's fingers put pressure on his temples. Their faces were close and Kame could feel the warmth of the other's body. His gaze fell on the lips Jin slightly pressed together in concentration. He wondered for a brief moment what it would feel like to touch them. Or kiss them.

“Jin,” he slurred, eyes half-lid and misty.

Jin looked into his eyes, inching closer just a little bit, voice hushed to a whisper. “Yes, Kame?”

The other paused, eyebrows knitting together in a frown. “How the hell did my cell phone end up in the fridge?”

Jin's fingers stopped moving on his temples and the older man gave him a tentative look before he slowly lowered his arms. “Oh that's a different story.”

Kame wondered if he imagined that perverted smile that spread on Jin's face a moment later.
