I walked the dogs out across the soccer field/dog park last night; it was past dusk, and just after a thunderstorm. Clouds rolled across the sky, and occasional strobe flashes of lightning arced from cloud to cloud, accompanied by grumbles and booms. I'm on the plane headed back to VA to finish packing and wrap up loose ends. After this, we drive our stuff and critters to Seattle, and while I expect I'll return from time to time, it won't be 'home' any longer. That will be the place we make together in the Emerald City, which has been calling to me for years now.

That would be Southeast Veterinary Pathology Conference. Don't ask me why it's always in Tifton, GA, I have no idea. It isn't even at the diagnostic lab, it's in this agricultural conference center. You know, the only think I really don't like about the SE Vet Path conference is the 10 hour drive (ugh), made somewhat tolerable by the amusing company of our faculty (seriously). My presentation was first.
