Well, there's great news and there's just...ok. news...whatcha want first?

The just ok news.... is that they DID in fact have to open up my incison yesterday at the doctors office.  He popped out the middle few staples, and opened up the cut.  My mom was there with me and she just couldn't even believe that I wasn't screaming in pain at him doing this. He stuck the wooden end of the stick for a swab down in the incison to open it up and when he did, apparently it wasn't a very pretty sight.  My mom exclaimed, "oh my god!" and the medical assistant made her sit down.  He cleaned it out as best he could and put packing in it, then applied a dressing over it all.  I have to go back today at 10 for him to take out the packing, re-clean and re-pack it.  At least today I know what I'm getting myself into, though I don't know that's really much comfort. lol  The good news about all that is, from the second he was done with everything I was immediately in much less pain that I had been with it all closed up and infected.  So hopefully it won't hurt as bad today.

The great news... is that Kamryn got her IV out yesterday!  She's no longer hooked up to anything but her monitors!  She's free, she's free!  She breastfed like a champ last night, eating from both breasts for at least 10 minutes each!  We're so proud of her and all her accomplishments, she's doing amazing!  She IS amazing!  Hopefully today she'll be taken out of her isolette and put into a regular bassinet...which is another big step toward coming home.  We thought she had lost some weight, but last night she weighed the same as she did before she supposedly 'lost' it, so the nurse is thinking it was an error to begin with.  She only has a few milestones left before she'll be able to come home... and one of her nurses seems to think it will be within the next couple weeks, easy.  We've gotta get our asses in gear though...nothing is ready yet...and with me not able to help get things accomplished, and us spending our night (after Marc gets home) at the hospital until late.....it's getting down to the wire!

But that's about it! for now....
