Boy, what a journey! But I was wondering why you didn't fly from Dubai to Finland as soon as the airspaces above Europe were open again? Or wasn't there a flight available?

The situation was too unclear all the time. When we first got to Dubai in Monday, it still seemed likely that there would be no flights to Finland before the end of the week. And of course nobody could say for sure when the airspace would open so it would have been risky to make any flight bookings to some day when we couldn't know if they actually are flying that day. If the worst would have happened the volcano would have continued with the ash
