Fun with Tomb Raider merchandise, work stuff, piggies, and other stuff
It just had to start tipping down with rain as soon as I finish work, doesn't it? I was kind of hoping to give Vivi a bath this evening. She needs cleaning up and she won't properly do it herself. It is highly unadvisable to give guinea pigs baths in chilly or cold weather, so... yeah.
Anyway, so, yes, I've been away from LJ (and the computer in general) for a few days. I need to have a serious catch-up on my flist.
In case anyone is wondering, Cunt Cuntbury the Third (yes, that is my new nickname for the douchebag) hasn't bothered me once since Monday. XD Maybe snapping at him paid off. Then again, I've probably jinxed it now I've typed that.
On Tuesday, I saw Jem's new car. ^_^ It's a nice bluey-purple colour, and she has dubbed it "Hippo Car". Yes. 'Tis a nice-looking car.
As for Sunday - which I meant to update about the other day - me and Euan walked to the big car boot sale for the first time in a few months. We didn't buy much - well, not that we can at the moment - but I did manage to pick up a couple of things to add to my Tomb Raider collection which a) were nice and cheap in price, and b) probably quite hard to find nowadays: a large figure of Lara in her TR II Sola wetsuit, complete with stand (more of a display figure, rather than an action figure, as only her arms can move), and a TR III wristwatch (which still works, as we discovered when we replaced the batteries). :D
As a result, I've been making a list of my TR collection, just for the hell of it. I still need to get some of it back from my mum's house.
Me and Euan also continued our joint playthrough through the first game the other day, and, boy, can you tell I haven't played the later levels in a while, or what? I completely forgot where I was supposed to go at one point in Sanctuary of the Scion. It was like "Okay, grab key from pool for... somewhere, slide down this slope, oh, wait, this door has no keyhole and is closed, maybe I use a switch to open it later... *returns outside and runs around like a headless chicken for a bit, utterly confused* *suddenly it all clicks together* ...Oh, wait, I have to unlock that door with the key, don't I, because the keyhole is actually on the opposite wall to the door... *facepalms*".
In other gaming news, I attempted the dreaded Balue's Tower bonus level on the Klonoa Wiimake - and, after doing pretty good for the first few rooms, I encountered a really frustrating room, so gave up before I started tearing my hair out. Holy FUCK, that level is still evil. Damn you Namco! DAMN YOOOUUU!!
Ahem. Anyway. I think I might go and make some more icons now. I've been slacking in that department lately.
