Mum's new job, Spain holiday, & more cosplay stuffs
Something I keep forgetting to mention: My mother has got herself a new job. After working in her current/soon-to-be previous job for around 18 years (the same supermarket where I work), she's going to be working in an insurance place. She used to work for a couple of other insurance companies, as part-time jobs on the side, along with her supermarket job. Apparently it has a better rate of pay, as well as better hours, so..... yeah.
Dad, Juliette, Alice & the stepsiblings are returning to England from Spain tomorrow, after their two-week holiday. Alice has probably spent shitloads of money on new clothes and got herself a suntan and/or sunburnt, knowing her.
In other news, I won a cheap top on eBay, for cosplaying purposes - the cosplay in question would be Rosa Da Silva from the Silent Hill movie (I would love to do Cybil Bennett - game or movie version - as well as Eileen Galvin from SH 4, but they're too complicated for me at the moment *is lazy*). At the moment, I want to try and focus on my Boss cosplay, but I'm also focusing on the Rose idea, and my Asami Yamasaki (from Audition) idea as well.
In terms of expenses, Rose would probably turn out to be the cheaper option. The most expensive? I'm not entirely sure. For The Boss, the army gear would probably cost a bit, but for Asami, I've got to consider the costs of a PVC/vinyl bondage-style apron (which will most likely have to be custom-made), and quite possibly a fake syringe (or a real, sterilised one with the needle removed/a fake, blunt needle inserted). That, or I could use some silver string and/or harmless wire, to replicate the meat/piano wire that she uses. That would probably be the easier option.
At the moment, I'm currently watching a beige cardigan on eBay which is somewhat similar to the one that Rose wears. I'm having a bit of trouble with the skirt, though - I may try searching around the shops in town for something like that, since those types of skirts are (or were until recently) "in fashion", so I may be able to find something appropriate.
