There's something about the "English for the hearing impaired" subtitle option for Ju-On: The Grudge that I find amusing.

I usually watch the film with the plain English subs, however, this time, I decided to go with the Hearing Impaired ones, just because I was bored and curious to see how they would describe the various sound effects of the film.

So, when Kayako makes first makes her presence known with that now-infamous croak of hers, you'd expect the subtitles to read something along the lines of "loud, eerie croaking", right? Well, something like that, anyway.

What do they actually read?

"Rapid grinding".

.....Yes. Grinding.

And then..... "grinding intensifies".

...I'm sorry, but, as much as I adore Kayako, I really don't want to think of her and grinding in the same context. O_o

Yes, I know that the subs were referring to the sound effect, but a) it sounds nothing like a "grinding"-type noise (WTF?), and b) my filthy, perverted mind interprets it as something entirely different. XD

(So that's her trick! She dry-humps her victims into submission! Huzzah!)
