West Side Story

I swear, if this computer messes around one more time, I will scream. ><

Last night's performance of West Side Story was really damn good. The male lead's singing was a bit off-key at times, but, eh, I suppose one can't be expected to sing perfectly all the time.

Jem was excellent, though. She's always been able to play bitchy characters really well, and her performance in WSS was no exception. =D

Unfortunately, she wasn't available for one of the later dance sequences - because her dance partner ended up breaking his thumb in one of the fight scenes and had to be rushed to hospital as soon as he left the stage! O_O Poor guy.

Also performing was Eve, the daughter of my dad's best friend. I haven't seen her in ages, so I was really damn surprised - I'd forgotten just how tiny and young-looking she is. The girl is approximately 16 years old, but she only looks about 11. As Euan put it: "She has the proportions of an Anime character". X-D She put in a great performance, and she had the accent down to a T.

Euan and I met up with Jem after the performance had ended for the night, where she told us about the "dancer-breaking-his-thumb" incident, and where Euan managed to give her his (very late) Christmas present and card. *Chortle* The card is......... well. Erm. I don't want to say too much about the card, since Jess has yet to see it. Instead, I ask Jess that she doesn't spank Euan too hard. (That's my job. =b) *Shifty eyes*
