Well, I have just recently surfaced from the sea of midterms/essays/horror, and it appears I've made it out alive. :)

They’re legend now, all of them: the Inception dream team (no pun intended) who pulled off what should’ve been, by all intents and purposes, impossible. Cobb’s always been a big name and now that he’s “retired”, even more so. Yusuf’s finally moving out of his illegal dreaming dens and onto the bigger and better, and as for Arthur, well. The Prince of Paradox has incontestably become the business’s most sought after player.

Ariadne though - she burst onto the scene in a whirl of brightly colored scarves and soul-old eyes, with intelligence and wit and a genuine kindness so rarely seen in the world of dream-sharing that Eames supposes it really shouldn’t have been that big of a shock that everyone wanted her too.

But, he thinks, as he cradles the young woman close and lets her bury her face in the crook of his neck as she clings to him, those sick fuckers should have just left her bloody well alone.

Beside him, Arthur puts bullet after bullet into the heads of the idiots who dared trying to make the brilliant Architect their own, and for now, Eames simply holds Ariadne close.

Hush, dove, hush. I’m here now.

oh, so very good. how can you do so much in so little space? I really want to read more of this story. Who tried to take Ariadne? How did the boys find out? I know you may never answer these questions with a story, but it's a testament to your skills that I'm already invested. thanks so much for responding to my request! have a great night.

Um...I don't know if I have the answers to all those questions. Tbh, I don't know if I will write a full-fledged Eames/Ariadne fic, b/c I love the boys together way too much. But I may expand upon this in another drabble (or two or three). :)
