It's SNOWPOCALPYSE SUCKFEST 2K7
Seriously, when does all the global warming start? I'm totally ready. The only good thing about snow is that I get to use a Walken lj picture that I yanked from someone a few weeks ago.
In other news:
Yesterday my house was flooded with natural, smelly, explosive gas and I didn't know why - it seemed to be coming from my heating vents but I was too afraid to go into the basement to check all the gas powered things and risk blowing up because I have an irrational fear of gas (I rarely ever use our 2 gas powered fireplaces). I had to call the emergency gas leak line and it was all very dramatic when the guy on the phone told me not to turn on/off anything, use the phone (even though I was using it talking to him), or cough too hard. He also told me to open up windows to air out the house and perhaps put on a sweater since it was really cold out. I told him repeatedly that I was very afraid (which I'm sure made him giggle) and he explained that it shouldn't be more than an hour or two before the service guy came by to check things out.
While I was waiting, I began to hope that something smelling like rotten eggs hadn't just crawled into my garage and died and worried how I'd explain that if it was so.
Thankfully, the service guy got there in 14 minutes (I was counting) and determined that the crazy wind storm we had yesterday made my hot water heater's pilot light burn out and then the gas got sucked up by the furnace and sprayed throughout the house. We solved the problem by turning off the hot water heater until the winds died down and airing out. Hurray!
It was also my birthday....I always like to celebrate with a (possibly devastating) bang.
