Cats again

I just want to say that, for all the worrying I did about cats earlier, Samantha, LittleKitty and Tigger were all curled up asleep near each other in my office just now. Tigger woke up and growled at LittleKitty (and I still think she would have settled in here just fine if he hadn't started the tension by yowling at her that first night), but I ( Read more... )

A tarp would work, or sheets of aluminum foil, most cats do not like foil. Or an old plastic shower curtain. But that is just a temporary fix.

I was concerned because of the number of cats you had; her issues in the past have dealt from issues with other cats and dominance issues and stuff; Gingi I think mentioned that my other cat sort of passively bullied the bejeezus out of her, and I know that went on for far too long while I tried to find her a new home. In the past, when there was One Cat to Rule Them All, she did not behave this way, and I had really, REALLY hoped the situation would present as such. Damn. The problem is that I can't take her back; the behaviour changes at home are so radical that I've realized that the stresses were hurting both of them, and I really don't want to put either of them through it again (esp. since she WAS a very well behaved cat until this last year when she was just alone with Ulysses; I know that this is a result of the dynamics between them, even as it carries on now). Let me know what might happen with Kathy taking her; I still have the contact info for Wakefield, and could put you in touch with the woman I had been talking to if it ( ... )

Kathy can't take her, James (my brother whose apartment it actually is) says they don't need another cat. My favorites shelter is the Sterling Animal Shelter. They're one of those fairly well-off ones who import dogs from Puerto Rico and make it almost as difficult to adopt one of their animals as it would be to adopt a child. Contact info for Wakefield would be welcome too.

I'm sorry, I really am. She is a sweet, loving kitty, but I am just not healthy or strong enough to be able to work with her behavior problems at this point.
