Happy birthday, dear!

Eep, this fic was eaten by my USB stick! I hope the rewritten version is as good as the original one, and hopefully without too many typos.

Since I read In Pursuit of Knowledge, I realized that the most amazing details in your fic are the way situations that are to be comical and these which are to be more sensitive wonderfully mix.
That's how authors should lead their readers to : torn between laughing and almost crying with the characters.
For instance, the two first paragraphs, when you almost squirm on your seat with delight while reading the first one, I just sighed and said to myself "Poor Sirius"...
And then third one... DON'T YOU START SENTENCES LIKE THIS!
(no, okay do start sentences like this. This is great. If I like it. I love it). This is how I would imagine how Sirius would react as soon as he got his own flat (At that point and I don't know it reminded me of the drabble you wrote for moshes, Sirius' new flat).
So far, my favourite paragraph. One could wonder why. *g*
And Sirius acting like a little boy... throwing paintballs on the wall? *laughs*
Inviting his friends for a booze night? ah well, this experience is shared by grown-ups, too. *g*.
Then you found a way to surprise the reader the next two paragraph - though I could easily imagine Sirius do that on paragraphs #8 and #9...
when Sirius woke up in the small hours, he couldn't for the life of him remember what had brought about his state of semi-nakedness.
Favourite sentence ever in this fic. I may be able to draw this very scene one day...
And eventually the last paragraph... actually, I did the same thing a while ago and I couldn't help but laugh of delight when I read this!
Why, yes, I did offer to myself a cookbook. Still need to read it though. *g*
Thank you again for this wonderful gift. It will be so great when you can write some more, I miss reading new fics from you a lot. :) *hugs tightly*

You said at some point that you liked the drabble I wrote for moshes, so I took that as a hint. ;)
I really enjoyed writing this, because Sirius in a good mood (or on his own) is always fun to write. He's so full of life at times and has got these wonderfully whacky ideas that I usually find myself grinning at him.
Him waking up all disoriented and puzzled over being half-undressed and possibly on top of James, heheheh. ;) Would make for a wonderful drawing.

Oh, is it a hint? ;) I may have a try one day once... *has a look at the seventy pages that are waiting for her to be drawn for the comic strip*
... once, as I said, I'm not that far behind the plot. *g*

But you know... when something this good inspires me, I'm quite disappointed not to find enough time to draw something out of this. Ah well...
