Summary: Heechul refuses to believe that his friend is gone.
No. It can’t be true.
Heechul’s heart raced as his hand rested on the doorknob to the dorm room that he and Hankyung shared. He closed his eyes, all the while saying ‘it can’t be true’ over and over in his mind. It wasn’t true. It couldn’t be.
He inhaled before opening the creaky door as slowly as he possibly could muster. He turned on the light, glancing around the room.
A rectangular clearing on the dusty night stand, an open drawer without any clothing left, and a bed stripped of its sheets were all it took to make Heechul’s head spin.
It was true. All of the media and tabloid articles that he had refused to believe until he saw his dorm for himself were true.
Heechul sat on his bed, his head was swimming with questions and confusion and God knows what else. The overwhelming dizziness of it all made him feel sick.
He leaned against the backboard as he tried to collect himself. His eyes fell to a picture frame on the dusty nightstand. Heechul picked it up, a saddened smile tugging on the corners of his quivering lips.
“You didn’t even say goodbye…”
