Heechul lazily opened the door to the room that he and Siwon shared. He flicked on the light, throwing some dirty clothes that occupied the floor into the hamper.
“Ugh, I am in no mood to play housekeeper, Choi Siwon.”
Heechul continued picking up the clothes and placing them in the hamper. Typically, he found a solo sock that wasn’t with its pair.
“Where is the matching sock?” he groaned aloud to no one in particular.
He crouched down on the floor, looking under his roommate’s bed for his missing sock. He stretched his arm as far as he could until his fingers grasped the only object under the bed that he could see.
He stared at the object: A black leather book with raised silver letters that read “Diary.” He continued to stare at the book, even thinking how lame it was that the younger boy even kept a journal.
Heechul looked around the room as if to make sure that no one was watching him. He flipped to the first page that contained Siwon’s scribbles on the lines of the white paper. Heechul wasn’t really sure what he was looking for, but whatever it was he wanted to find out.
He began reading.
Dear Journal. When you look out your window and up at the sky… Do you see something bigger than yourself? Is there truth in all versions? I want to know the truth…
That was all it took for Heechul to gently close the journal and slide it back to its place under the bed. Siwon was always pestering Heechul about his religious affiliations. But now, Heechul felt as if he should smother Siwon with hugs and tell him that it was okay to be confused.
Heechul didn’t know what he was looking for when he opened that diary. What he did find was that the next time he looked up at the blue sky filled with puffy white clouds, all he could do was wonder.
AN: I just wanted to write some drabble. I hope that it’s not too terrible >_> This sort of genre isn’t typically my thing, but I was in the mood to write something like this. +R&R+
