Augh! I forgot about the A&H meeting entirely. Alas. I am a horrible person.
Anyway. So opening week-end of Garden District is done as of roughly an hour or so ago. We keep hearing lovely things from people, and last night Jeff and I had a good chat, and we now have two days off to rest and breathe before jumping back in, so all is well.
Well, aside from the fact that my voice insists on being tense and raw even when I move all tension out of my neck and throat. For why? Maybe it's strained from constant use of a lower register than normal - Mrs. Venable's voice is lower than mine naturally is, even aside from the slight lowering that always happens when I project. Kind of like in Damn Yankees! when I got laryngitis after the first show because I was singing so deeply. (Playing a boy is fun, but not when you're a soprano...)
Soon I will finish up my wee bit of remaining homework which absolutely must be done tonight (I have so much on my plate which I keep forgetting about because the due dates feel much farther away than they actually are), then get to bed quickly. (Might wash all this hairspray out of my hair tonight... but I'll probably end up waiting until tomorrow morning. Bah.) Hopefully I will be arising soon enough to meet Miss Sara and Miss Jess for breakfast at eightish, before Gay Drama. Usually I go at ten o' clock when class is over, but tomorrow I must use every spare moment (the 10:00 hour, and from 2:30 until 4:00) to read applications. The Gwendolyn to my Cecily and I are both on the committee to find a new costuming teacher, and I haven't reviewed a single application yet, and the meeting is at four tomorrow. Gagh! Hopefully it won't take more than two hours, as that's really all I have.
Anyway. Homework, then bed. Opposite of bonjour.
