Lift update

As an aside, the latest brush fire stopped about 2 blocks from the house. Yikes! I've got the sprinklers going off every other day to try and keep the grass moist - yeah right!

So after 2 weeks of being out of the gym I finally got back yesterday, in spite of the infection and feeling like crap and having run with the wrestlers. It was tough going. Motivation to lift is really hard when you're sick. I almost fell asleep on a bench before I got started. However, 5 sets of near max front squats really do the trick to wake yo ass up!! After that I was fine, though I didn't get all the exercises done that I wanted to.

Front squats - 115lbs
flat bench - 125 lbs
skullcrushers - 45lbs

I feel strong enough today to lift, so yaay!

Alexis has been going back into the weight room with me since the Christmas break as well, and I'm quite proud of her. She's always been incredibly strong for a person that never lifted much before. She realy loves to lift - loves the struggle between and iron will and an iron bar. To quote Paris Hilton.."that's hot!" She would make a PHENOMENAL powerlifter if she worked at it a little bit.
