No coffee table books
Today has been an interesting day for me, in the good sense of interesting. Some factoids:
*It's the birthday of a good friend in Australia, and today I received a package in the mail from her. How's that for karmic timing?
*I saw the movie Hoodwinked and liked it muchly. The "subject" up there is a variation on some movie dialogue. In it, a very hyper squirrel showing off his pictures says something to the police along the lines of he always wanted to make a coffee table book with his photos, but since he doesn't drink coffee he'll make a chai tea latte book instead.
*I got a random hello from akane, someone I first met 10 years ago (Yes, 10!) and didn't expect to hear from again. The world is small.
*Money. Got some in the credit union.
*Mark Hart. I have friends who keep me supplied in "Mark goodness"--two of my favorite words when used in combination with each other. I now have DVDs and screen caps. [Big cheesy grin here, please!]
*Nigel Griggs. I made a mix CD of my own today with all my favorite Enz songs that feature him on bass. Obviously, I called it "Bottom Enz" because there wasn't any other option. I emailed Peter Green today, too. I will write a letter and tell Nigel I think he is the most awesome playa to pick up a bass evah! Well, that's the plan, anyway.
