Blue Eyes

WTF... Rich text suddenly doesn't work on google chrome. now i have to use retarded slow firefox wtf T_T.

Just, sigh things have NOT been looking up lately for more reasons than one, but i really hope its just a phase right now.

On the brighter side i did get to see Tron: Legacy the other day at the movies (see what i did there with the color :D).  Absolutely GORGEOUS and worth the 3D although the chinese theater did have bad 3D glasses so on the particularly dark scenes i couldnt' really see anything and had to watch a blurry fight. But obviously the storyline is anything but "new" and absolutely predictable. But of course if you are a Kingdom Hearts, Disney and/or cult Tron fan or just want some futuristic eye candy, this is one movie worth paying 20 dollars to see in 3D :)

Oh, and I have a new obsession to introduce to poeple :D

But Tron review first.

Despite the horrible storyline, the actors pulled their weight. I had no idea what the first movie was about and hadn't realized that "legacy" was a continuation of it. So the star power of Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner (playing Kevin Flynn/Clu and Alan Bradley/Tron respectively) completely went over my head till i did some research aka wiki'd. So kudos to them for their support of the franchise. Sam Flynn is quite attractive (aka Garrett Hedlund). He's of Swedish descent... no WONDER he's so good looking. I'd like to see more of him some day. And Olivia Wilde is just... Olivia Wilde :D I'm glad she didn't play Quorra like some action movie vamp temptress (*cough* Megan Fox in Transformers *COUGH*) and gave her a bit of an innocence, optimism and actual CHARACTER (Her Jule Verne thing was so adorable :D).

On another note, while vicariously wikipedia linking, apparently Disney's thinking about making a trilogy/3rd part to the story. Of course i doubt its going to be a critical hit but i do want to see what they do next with the animation. I have begun to note how the Disney's still bringing back the punch in beautiful animation, but the stories are just lacking that old Disney magic.

ANYWAY what i was TRYING to get to is that a possible contender to play the villian is Cillian Murphy. Had no idea who he was till I looked at some stuff.

Turns out he was Scarecrow in Batman Begins. Oh and that other dude in Inception (i haven't watched it yet... don't kill me)

Now, i have a thing for eccentric actors (aka Johnny Depp <3) so after seeing his resume (including playing a transvestite to critical acclaim no less) this guy was right on my list of "awesome people to follow". I saw he did this Wes Craven movie with Rachel McAdams called Red Eye, about a terrorist (Murphy) who charms and then blackmails a hotel manager (McAdams) on a "red eye" plane flight to help with the assassination of a political figure or her father will be killed. I found myself putting the trailer on repeat, where its mostly of Cillian being absolutely charismatic then the suspense "who is he really" cliffhanger. And just... his EYES...
.

Those aren't contact people. They are... *swoon*... BEAUTIFUL. They can either be the more romantic and hypnotizing eyes, or absolutely cold. I'm sure any film director would come up with excuses to get those eyes on film. No wonder McAdams character fell right into his arms? But besides the blockbusters he's a really great actor. Another scene from Red Eye where he's ruthlessly threatening Rachel might make most other villains seem like bloody killers, but Cillian and Rachel have this... really strange yet intense chemistry... that is kinda hot in a way, but just... wow, you have to watch it. Again i think its the eyes (and of course Rachel McAdams), but this man is definitely growing strong on my radar. And why he was a link to Tron in the first place? well he had a cameo in the board room scene of "legacy". I had NO idea it was him even after i wiki'd till they listed it in his credits. That what glasses and a change of hair can do.

He seriously needs to do more stuff... Seriously... Cillian Murphy everyone.

Franchises by Disney in mind, you know what else I'm excited about? PIRATE OF THE CARRIBEAN 4!!!!!!!!!!! I literally cannot WAIT. But i've written enough today, will spaz some other time :D

Still a bit pissed about other matters, but Tron and Cilliam Murphy here helps me a bit. No angst posts today.

Peace out,

Tenshi
