I just got back from the Saturday
Berkeley farmers' market.
I have peaches. Four *pounds* of peaches. (Which is one peach per person I'm expecting at the house today plus one extra.)
These aren't just any peaches, no. These are organic, *ripe* Suncoast peaches. They are the platonic ideal of everything I expect a peach to be -- bright orange on the inside, sweet, and drippy. These are no-shit sit-in-the-bathtub-while-you-eat-them *proper* peaches.
I am immensely pleased. We have markets three times a week here, and if you're at all local, they're doing a peach tasting on Tuesday...
