So the dust has finally settled. I'm not talking about settling down at CERN, and I'm not talking about having sane working hours after a crazy summer. I'm talking about something much bigger than that, I'm talking about my life in general. For some reason I've been delaying gratification for about a decade, working long hours, putting things off indefinitely and assuming that everything I do is just temporary until I get a real job, a real life and I'm all grown up. Well I'm about as grown up as I'm probably ever going to get now, so things are changing. The flat I've got now is rather nice, and with some work could be extremely nice. Depending on how things go at CERN I may end up here for a very long time. For the first time ever I'm finding time to exercise properly and not have to worry about things like revising for exams or graduating on time. Now I know I'm going to be in one place for at least a few years I can concentrate on getting a love life and treat it seriously for once. And I'll finally get round to finishing all those things I never finished. Life is good. But it also means moving on from a lot of things. If you're ever in Geneva let me know. Otherwise I'll probably be back in the UK from time to time, but the chances are I'm not moving back any time soon. It's funny how life works out.
