As part of
Google Summer of Code this year, Robbie Gemmell's been working on
the JMX Management Console, focussing on the UI and making it awesome.
I'm particularly fond of the new queue view:

here, but you really have to try it out to get the full effect of just how nice moving around in it is now. There's no "you must add this to the favourite list, then walk widdershins and put a pencil up your nose" to view anything. Best of all, there's an auto-refresh option which means you can just leave it up and running and don't wear out your left mouse button.
He also managed to snag the coveted
QPID-2000 Jira. That's the kind of guy he is. :)
