A Sizzix | Authentique Paper Card Tutorial.

Aug 28, 2014 14:48

Hello everyone !

It's the weekend and time for some crafty fun with this tutorial for Sizzix. Authentique Paper gave the Team lovely papers to work with and this time I am using the Harmony Collection in tones of Mustard and Grey. I've added a Prima die cut pretty Baroque style frame in gold foil cardstock for an updated feel.

Sizzix supplies I used :
Big Shot
Standard Cutting Pads
Extended Cutting Pads
Magnetic Platform
659702 Prima Framelits Die Set 6pk Enchanted
658847 Embossing Folders Swirls and Squares in Ovals Set

Paper : Authentique Paper Harmony Collection | Gold Foil Card stock : Doodlebug.
Distress Paints : Tumbled Glass | Scattered Straw
Embellishment : Idea-ology Philosophy Tag and Brad | American Crafts Jewelled Brad.

** In Singapore you will be able to find these supplies at Made With Love **

If you are ready, let's begin !

On your Big Shot with the Magnetic Platform and cutting pad in place, arrange the Prima Framelits dies as in the photo below. Trim a piece of Gold Foil card stock to fit the size of the dies, place the top cutting pad on the framelits/paper and run through the Big Shot.

After the die cutting, you will find the smaller die would have created an embossed inner border, so cool !!

I've also die cut another piece of patterned paper with the rectangular Ticket shape you see below.

Emboss a white card stock using the Squares in Ovals folder. Then trim off all the 4 edges to the size you like.

Lightly paint the embossed card stock edges first with Scattered Straw , add then Tumbled Glass.

Fussy cut 3 pieces of flowers from the patterned paper.

From the sticker sheer, choose stickers you like. I've chosen to use 2 stickers which I matt on patterned paper and trimmed to a thin border all around.

Layer the papers, Gold frame, word stickers and the metal Idea-ology Philosophy Tag. You may need 3D Foam Dots to add height to the paper. Matt the embossed piece to patterned paper and card stock.

It's not difficult to create layers in a card as all you need is a little fussy cutting, pretty die cuts, some stickers and matching embellishments. Very quickly you will have a card ready for someone special !

Have a wonderful weekend.
