Merry early Christmas!

This doesn't feel much like the day before Christmas in some ways... and yet, in others, it feels EXACTLY like it. I'm doing a bit of housework--including laundry, which has been sort of ignored lately--before I have to get in the shower to get ready for church this afternoon/evening. Liturgy actually starts at 4, but I'm going to try to be there a bit early, so I can get parking and a good spot in the church (to wit: near the side door, so if the crush gets to be a bit much, I have an 'out', at least psychologically. Crowds are not my Thing, and since Orthodox stand during Liturgy--yes, during the whole thing, at least in my church--every available space in my little church tends to be taken up. And I do mean every available space).

I got the sauce, meatballs, and sausages cooked last night; they're currently in the refrigerator, waiting for me to put the lasagna together tomorrow. Yes, it takes that long. If I were being hoity-toity and chef-like, I'd tell you it's to let the flavours mingle, or some such. *g* It really does taste better the second day (or even third). Picspam will happen as I'm putting the thing together, assuming that I can find my camera.

All packages are also wrapped, though I think I made a boo-boo with my sister's and nephew's gifts: I think I forgot to take the price tags off. Idiot. So I'm going to have to unwrap them (not difficult; Michelle's is in a gift box, Connor's is in a gift bag), pull the prices off, and put them back. That's what happens when you're watching an Epic Battle Scenetm when you're wrapping, I guess. (I was watching The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe last night. Oh, and apparently, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader will be out Dec. 10 of next year. Squee! Though I must say, I will miss William Moseley in his armour. *sigh* I will always be a SCAdian at heart, I think; men in armour just Do It for me.

Okay, back to the housework. I have a whole bunch of Householdy Stuff that I bought, which I want to get put in place. And I think I want to run the vacuum before I go. It would be a bummer to have an un-vacuumed house on Christmas morning.

*hugs you all*
