A much quieter day

Quiz today. Kids were amazingly ON TASK and QUIET. Seriously, it was so relaxing! And they seemed to be a lot happier with the retake today; apparently they actually, you know, LEARNED SOMETHING.

Heaven forbid. *roll eyes*

Tomorrow there's a potluck at school, so I bought the stuff for my favourite pasta salad tonight, down at the quasi-farmer's-market up the street from me. While there, I also picked up the stuff for dinner: Romaine lettuce for salad, onion and pepper for fajitas (I already had the chicken and spices), and strawberries and half-and-half for dessert.

It was, um, more food than I realised. I've eaten part of the fajitas (sans tortillas, because they didn't have any and I didn't feel like going to another store just for that) and a bowl of salad, and I am SO FULL OMG. So I guess the strawberries and cream waits til tomorrow. :)

I emailed the headmaster of that American/International school again, using the CORRECT email this time, asking if I can come and visit. We'll see what, if anything, he says. If he doesn't reply, maybe working at that school isn't such a great idea after all. (I emailed at about 10 a.m. today, which is 6 p.m. there, so I'll likely not hear anything until at least tomorrow, if not Monday.) I'll also be getting hold of the teacher agency to let them know I'll be in country, see what they can arrange for me, if anything. :) Wonder if I could get permission to go visit some of the DoDDS schools there as well?
