Just a quick whinge break

Oct 02, 2007 08:00

Mondays suck. I arrived at work about 6:35 yesterday morning (I'm on the clock at 6:45--no, I'm not joking), covered someone else's class during my plan so I was only half-prepared when the kids came in, got through the day, had fun talking with larielromeniel and Charmee about our trip to England next summer, then spent hours putting grades in the gradebook ( Read more... )

home, whine, work, writing

Y'know, after years of being the only Ruth everywhere I go, it's really trippy to have another one around. I so had a "WTF" moment there for a second . . . :D

Anyway, hope you survive the crappy day, lookin' forward to more fic, as always!

Heh! Maybe those of us who can't go to England can pitch in so we can send something really nifty with you for a certain pretty man (pretties for the pretty, like sweets for the sweet . . .?)

*can just imagine meeting him at the door* "Hi! I really enjoyed the play. Your interpretation was spectacular. Oh, and I'm also a weird crazy fangirl who's bringing gazillions of presents from other weird crazy fangirls, so I've just destroyed any respect you might possibly have had for me." *grin*

LOL! Well, you don't have to say it like *that*, y'know! Besides, I bet he gets waaaaaaaaayyyy weirder stuff in terms of fan interactions. Kinda scary to contemplate, in fact. o_O

Heh. On one of the discussion fora I'm on, somebody posted a pic of a fangirl running her hands through his hair (while holding a sonic screwdriver, thereby consecrating it, I guess . . .). I can dig up a copy, if you like, and post it to my LJ.

Reminds me of a friend of mine who went to see Tim Curry perform live back in the late 80s. When she got to meet him backstage, she asked if he would touch/bless her "Rocky Horror" fishnet stockings. He did (and apparently he laughed at the request). Me'n'the other girls were sooooooooo jealous. XD
