Just a quick whinge break
Mondays suck. I arrived at work about 6:35 yesterday morning (I'm on the clock at 6:45--no, I'm not joking), covered someone else's class during my plan so I was only half-prepared when the kids came in, got through the day, had fun talking with larielromeniel and Charmee about our trip to England next summer, then spent hours putting grades in the gradebook because this week is mid-quarter and kids (and parents) are looking up their grades online, so even though the only things I didn't have in the gradebook were what I collected yesterday, I still felt guilty about not having them in, so I stayed til they were done. Then I rushed over to the little restaurant around the corner, wolfed down some dinner, and headed off to rehearsal... which lasts until 9 p.m. Consequently, I got home about 9:30 and passed out.
Then, of course, I had to get up and moving today. I was about 10 minutes late getting up, but only 3 minutes late getting to work--not bad considering I hit every light on the way in to work. And it's another long day, because tonight's Open House, so I'm here until 6:30. I could go home first, but that's a nearly 23-mile round trip that I just don't need to take, esp with gas at the price it is.
Gah.
However!!!!
1. I'm going to England next summer AND going to see the Pretty, Pretty Man play Hamlet.
2. Chapter 14 of Reunited is coming along nicely, if I ever have time to write. :)
3. Next week is a 4-day week; Friday the 12th is the state in-service day, which I do NOT have to go to if I don't want to. And I don't want to, so I'm not gonna!
Less than a minute left til the kids show up. Brace for impact!
