The Prince of the Sunflowers …
Morning has risen and a new day is yet again about to start, especially for a person who has been sleeping like a beautiful princess for three consecutive years now. Although, even if he has lost quite a lot of time to spend with the people he holds close, more so with the person he holds dear into his heart. He still can give a beautiful smile-a smile that means so much to the precious people he once did left behind. “…Good morning, kaasan…it’s such a great day today, isn’t it?” Yamada Ryosuke yawned before he gave in a smile-a smile, as if nothing happened and as if he didn’t just recover from a state of deep sleep-a coma.
Well, I guess. That’s Yamada Ryosuke for you, a person who always try to look through the positive aspects of life. “…I guess so, my child. It’s been awhile since we all had a great day like this.” His mother mused before she looked up outside the window to see the bright blue sky waving at the world and welcoming her son’s return to the lands. And seeing that beautiful and warm welcome from the heavens above, the young mother couldn’t help but let a single tear roll down her brown eyes, because what has happened yesterday. It was all a miracle. Her little boy waking up is a miracle-a gift from above and a second chance, “…hmm, such a bright blue sky, ne? Such a beautiful day for you to spend, my dearest child,” Ryosuke’s mother chuckled; especially when she saw her son nod his head, enthusiastically, like an excited little boy that is being given a gift.
Smiling, Yamada Kaori couldn’t help but contemplate as she watches her son enjoy himself like nothing had happened, like he has just been sick for a month and has just gotten better. We missed you so much, son. But, he misses you so much more. More than you can imagine, more than we can ever express into words…dearest Yuri, when will you visit my son again? He’s awake now child. He has come back for you. She smiled sadly, and that was suddenly taken notice by her little boy. “…kaasan, doushita? Is something bothering you?” Ryosuke worriedly asked his mother as he took hold of her slightly wrinkled hands, before he brought it close into his heart. “…don’t worry about me, kaasan. I’m back now, right? I’m right here.” He smiled, “…so worry no more. I won’t leave you guys behind anymore. I promise, not anymore.” He kissed his mother’s knuckles, before smiling again for the nth time. “…by the way kaasan, have you told Yuri that I am awake? I’ve been excited since yesterday to see my little angel.” Ryosuke smiled goofily as he started musing about the things he’ll do when his Yuri arrives. “…I guess, the first thing I’ll do is say sorry. Err…maybe not that, I might ruin the mood-ah! I’ll just hold him close, tell him that I missed him and-.” And as her son rambles on, his mother, on the other hand, just listened to his little plan, since she just didn’t have the heart to tell her little boy that his boyfriend hasn’t visited him for quite a long time-for a year now, to be exact, because for the last two years, it has been hard for the little guy. It was just too much pain. The little one even had to go under psychiatric treatment and therapy for being overly depressed. Once even, the little angel tried suicide, because the damage has been quite brutal. Ryosuke being in a coma caught the little one off guard. It just broke him into pieces that couldn’t be patched back together. “-nee, kaasan, you’re spacing out on me. Are you really feeling well?” Ryosuke frowned, while his brows creased worriedly at his mother’s weird behavior. “…I’m fine, Ryosuke. Just continue on telling your kaasan how you’ll woe your little princess.” She teased and that made the mother and son laugh again after three years of being apart.
Yuri-chan, please…please hear your Ryosuke’s sweet laughter. Please come back for him. He’s waiting for you, child. He kept his promise. So please angel, come see him soon. He misses you so. Yamada Kaori prayed with all her might, hoping that at some point, the wind can carry her silver lining with her son’s sound of laughter, to the person who needs it the most. He’s waiting Yuri-kun. Please, come back to him soon.
…
Meanwhile, wrapped around in a thick jacket, which is not his but his lover’s-Ryosuke, is little Chinen Yuri, who’s been standing in front of the hospital building for an hour and a half. The little one, he has been contemplating with himself. Well, more like debating with himself and his ego, if he should go in or not. After all, it’s been awhile since he visited. And, he shouldn’t have as well. He shouldn’t have been here, if his mother-well, if he really didn’t want to and he really didn’t miss his beloved. Although what kept him from entering and visiting his lover is the fact that maybe, just maybe the Yamada’s might hate him now. They might have cursed him already. Especially since, he’s been a big coward. He’s been a big fat scared-y cat and has been running away from what he has caused. For the damage he has done for such a loving and complete family.
“…I’m scared.” He held his hands to his chest as it kept on trembling due to fear and nervousness. “But, mom’s right…” and pair of black irises suddenly were filled with dedication and determination, “…I should fight and never give up on my Ryosuke. He won’t leave me. He never will. He promised so himself, ne Ryo-chan?” Yuri closed his eyes as he took in a deep breath-“Yosh!” he smiled wide, “…ganbarimasu!” he cheered inside his head as he walked inside the hospital premise with an aura so strong and ready to fight-for him and Ryosuke, for their future and forevermore.
However, as Yuri neared his lover’s room, his breathings began to hitch, while his heart. It began to skip a thousand of beats. And honestly, he did try to ignore it by taking big steps, moving faster, as if eager. But as the silhouette of his lover’s room slowly made its way to his vision-thump dump, thump dump, thump dump-his heart, it began to tease him so. It started hammering out his chest again, like he’s going to have a heart attack., like he is going to burst, like, like-“…please, Kami-sama…” he screamed inside his head as he held his small hands to his chest. ”…please…” his raspy breathings as his heart strings slowly tie itself in a complicated knot, “Please, I beg you. Please give me courage. Please give me strength. Please-oh, please, don’t let me fall and break down as I see him again…please…” the little one prayed, hoped and begged up above for all the help he’ll need and for all the guidance he seeks. He’s nervous now than before, because he doesn’t know if he’s ready yet. Although, the moment he reached the door of his lover’s room, the nervousness seemed to have faded away, making him seemed to be ready enough to, well, not until-thud. He fell on the floor due to the sudden impact of someone bumping him, a person who just came from the inside of his lover’s room.
Yet, that mere fact alone, Yuri didn’t mind, because before he could even stand up or acknowledge the presence of the person who knocked him, butt flat on the floor. He felt strong and very, very familiar arms wrap themselves around his tiny waist and encapsulate him into a tight and very warm embrace. “Yuri.” And kisses were suddenly laid down his forehead, his eyes, his nose, his cheeks then-“…you’re finally here. I thought you forgot about me already, and, and-but before those sentences were wrapped into an end, lips so plump, soft and sweet glazed those talking one’s into a sweet and filled with love kiss. “…Ryosuke…” Yuri rasped in between their kisses, while underneath those exchanged affections, smiles were being exchanged deep down, being grateful, being thankful-“…It’s been so long-when, how-mpphh…” but the older of the two just wouldn’t let the younger finish, after all, he missed his little angel so. He missed his Chinen Yuri so very, very much. “…Ryo-haa---nghh-“ Yuri tried to fight back, after all, making out in middle of the hospital hallway is quite a scandal, especially to little tykes passing by. Yet still, longing for someone you miss and longing for someone you love most in the world, are something that is far greater than caring for one’s dignity and reputation. It’s so much more than that.
That’s the reason why, Ryosuke wouldn’t bulge in, because the craving and the sudden feel of wanting to hold that small frame, to touch and feel that loved face and to claim those plump lips with his, is such an intuition-is such a spell entrapping him to act on impulse and to not think-just because, just because. “…Yuri…my Yuri…” he called out longingly, before he left a kiss and another kiss and another kiss and another kiss and another one at that to those lips he missed most. Those lips he craved to taste most, more than strawberries-even more than his very life.
However, in contrary to his mindset, Yuri is not thinking the same lines, because more so than happy. He is just plain bewildered by the sudden run of events. His mother the night before comforting him and insisting him to visit his comatose lover, then his little dilemma earlier about going, and now this? Ryosuke practically hogging him to death and showering him with kisses that felt so unreal for the little one. It all felt so surreal. That’s why he wanted to know. He wanted to clarify. He wanted to make sure that he is not hallucinating and just dreaming. He just wants to prove it all with his very own hands, with his very own eyes. Because maybe, this is all just a figment of a dream he craves, a figment of the lover he sought to feel and embrace. The lover whom he-“…R-Ryo…su…ke…” he tried to butt in and to reason out as he tried to push his lover away-as he tried not to give in to those sweet kisses, sweet caresses and just give in fully to his Yamada Ryosuke.
But still the little one’s attempts and actions, it just made things far worst, because the moment the chubby cheeked boy felt his little Yuri, struggling and pushing away from him, did he suddenly took hold of those small hands and led it to his neck. And as he did so, his little one just slowly gave in, especially after he suddenly bit the bottom part of those harassed lips, making the little one gasp and open his mouth slightly. Taking that as an advantage, the latter, while sucking on those bottom lip, smirked, before he entered his tongue inside that sweet cavern that ever since he claimed as his.
But remember, every happy ending deserves to have ending credits, right? So before Ryosuke’s lips could go far beyond and roam down Yuri’s neck. As well as before Yuri’s arms could even untie the ribbon of his Ryosuke’s hospital gown, a cough was suddenly heard from the inside of the room, and that made the two lovers, making out, pull apart and blush scarlet red. “…err…sorry, kaasan,” Ryosuke smiled sheepishly at his mom, who by now is trying to stop her giggles from coming out. “....Mou, its fine, child.” An understanding smile, “…just learn to calm down, okay? I know how you are missing Yuri-kun so, just don’t harass him there, at the hallway with people watching you.” Yamada Kaori laughed before she ushered the two boys inside the room. While, she, on the other hand, stood up and excused her own self out the door. After all, it’s been awhile. It’s been a long, long while for the two and they need time-time to talk and to be with each other. Because more so than anyone else, it’s the two of them who’s been deprived-deprived of the presence and the love of each other for such a long time. “I’ll see you two tomorrow, okay?” a knowing smile, “…because somehow after some explaining and a little talking, seeing the way my Buta of a child reacted to your presence, Yuri-chan. It will be a long and very busy night. After all, my child is finally at home now. Home to where his heart lies.”

Before I start with my A/N a little insight of the story title first: Well, firstly I've been obsessed with the Japanese name of it, which is Himawari. Or more likely, Sunflower in English. And, I really like how sturdy it looks, because contrary to my favorite flower. Himawar is something that is sturdy and strong. Although, the flower itself has quite a value, because one of it's symbolization is the word "Dedication". And remembering the initial fic, it's entitled "The Prince of the Sunflower", which I've translated as the Prince that is filled with strong determination and dedication, which is in the fic is both Yamada and Chinen. Yet, I strongly pointed the title at Yamada, why don't you guys try to find that out. It's fairly easy. Now, this sequeal, which is entitled "The Sunflower's Home is beside the Little Daffodil", try to find the main quote of the story. That's simply the meaning of the title. By the way, Daffodil means "Hope". It can also mean "Faith", but before it means "Unrequited Love". Yet recently, the "Unrequited Love" was erased.
Author’s Note: …and is this requested sequel satisfying enough? Haha, wakanaii yo. So, it’s for you guys to judge and me to find out. I hope it’s good enough though. Thank you for reading! I hope you all enjoyed. By the way, I didn't do any proof-read. So sorry for the grammatical errors and the inconsistencies, if there are any. Please kindly point out if you find one and tell me. I'd be happy.
