once again...
Feeling the urge to do more actual blogging. Probably won't last long.
Got back from our week-long "vacation" last night around 12:30. It was a bit of a whirlwind tour between DC and Philadelphia. We saw a LOT of friends/family, which was great. The last day we were in DC, however, my mother called me to tell me my grandmother was in the hospital. She also laid a guilt trip on me about not going to visit my grandmother while we were in Pennsylvania, even pulling out the "that might have been your last chance to see her" line. Unfortunately, we were in Philadelphia for less than 48 hours and had enough trouble coordinating seeing people there, much less making an additional 1.5 or 2 hour trip with a 20 month-old to visit my (demented, unfortunately) grandmother in a nursing home, who likely wouldn't have recognized me. I really would like to be able to visit her, but it was just way too stressful, schedule-wise, to fit it in this time. Meh. Fortunately my grandmother is doing better again and back to baseline.
