Tuesday night was the night of Isolation as suggested by my good buddy Mr
crazymeandave and to tell the truth, I'm not sure what the hell to make of this. One's thing's for certain, there's nothing quite like it. Tiny, mutant, psychotic, cow foetuses terrorise (bite, kill, eat and infect) a lonely small holder, his vet, and a couple of romantic runaways on a desolate farm in Ireland, as the result of a genetic experiment. And yet somehow it works! The acting is superb - always a treat to see Sean Harris turn up in a role, as he's spot-fucking-on in everything he does, and I believe one of the most underrated actors we have (from Ian Brady in See No Evil, to Ian Curtis in 24hr Party People, and check him out as the cunty drug dealer in Harry Brown)
So. Is this a good film? Yes! Would I recommend it? Hells yes! Did I enjoy it?
I don't know.
Yes.
Kind of.
It's weird.
And very muddy 7.5 / 10
Last night - Triangle! Oooooooooooooh God, I loved this film :) One of those amazing films where the idea, is more terrifying than any ghost or zombie, and has you thinking about it long after. There was a couple of recommendations from friends but the kudos go to
spikylau for this one. It got me! I'm actually going to be a real sweetie and say no more except watch it.
