Just a quick thank you to those of you who are already doing this, or are going to do it for the coming season. You're doing an amazing job, and I wouldn't have nearly as many football pics on my computer (or nearly as many ROTFLMAO-moments in front of the computer...) if it wasn't for you guys!
THANK YOU!
Unfortunately, I won't have the time/energy to contribute to this regularly, but I suppose I could do it at least some Juve-spams every now and then if they don't have any other, more dedicated fangirls who would like to commit to doing this. Also, I'm hoping to get to know AC Siena a bit better this season as well, so perhaps I could throw in a bit about them, too - well, of course if I can manage to learn who's who over there, for starts :-D (Yes, they have "my" dear, little Juve-Swede on loan - that's the reason for my interest so far :-D)
I'm speaking for myself here, but, if no-one comes forward to be an official Juve or Siena pimp, I can see nothing wrong with occasional spams every now and then as and when you have time. (Obvs, if someone does, it would be courteous to liaise with them before posting to ensure they didn't already have a similar post in the pipeline.)
lilianna76 said she'd be interested in doing some part-time Juve repping, as well -- how about if we put both of you on the list, and you guys work together to pimp your boys when you have time?
(And what Ruby said -- assuming no one turns up committing to cover Siena weekly, please do post on them when the mood strikes, that'd be great!)
Hello zimena I just commented to the girls saying I'd be willing to do some posts for Juve. but since work takes up a lot of time I won't be able to do it full time. I was hoping you and I can share the posting duties. that is, if you want to??
Babe, that would be grand, I still feel like a heel for dropping them last year. I can email you some sites and stuff, give you the basic format of a matchspam if you want to do it?
I wish I could volunteer my services for team pimping (especially for the likes of Juve, they need a pimp!)-- alas, I'm think I'm too damn flaky to keep up w/ it and I must admit, when I do picspams on Kickette (of whatever team), they are never the same caliber or number of pics as the spams on here. And I generally never include a game summary. I have a bizarre urge to pimp Napoli too. And I'm even 1/4 Napoletana. I'd be getting in touch w/ my Southern side.
To piggyback on what calzamante said, maybe I could do some spams when I am able.
That sounds great! As long as no one turns up saying they can pimp Napoli week-in and week-out, please do post when you've got the time/inclination. Looking forward to them, thank you!
So the rules are 'one team, one spammer'? Is that what all the kerfuffling was about last year? Because I never understood that. There was just angst over posts I kinda liked.
Is it possible to postdate this post so it stays on top of the comm and everyone understands this?
The post is linked in the user info along with the posting guidelines, hopefully new members will be familiar with both when they apply for membership.
Sorry! I said that very poorly. What I meant was that I saw some posts show up - some dumb, some with good pics/POVs that we don't ususally get - and then disappear and the posters going away, possibly with hurt feelings.
I frequently felt excluded as a child, so I am extremely sensitive to people being left out.
Also, for the record, I've been here for years now and had no idea that I wasn't allowed to post here on Milan or Fiorentina.
Not wanting to put words in the mouths of the other mods, but I understand your concerns and believe they do, as well; for what it's worth, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that no mod has ever deleted a post made by someone else.
And I hope this post (which is actually a virtual cut and paste of one made about a year ago that's been linked in the user info, I'm sorry it was hard to find) makes it clear that you're most welcome to post on Fiorentina or Milan, all we ask is that members stay away from spams of formal team events, like matches, new player presentations, etc, if a team already has a representative who posts regularly, because that person is probably hard at work collecting the pictures. (A recent example of the sort of post that's welcome is torstai's of Roma training/fan stuff/etc -- she collected the pictures off Facebook, and they're things most people wouldn't have seen otherwise.)
